The Chicago showing is located on the west bank of the south fork of Glacier Creek, 6 kilometres northeast of Stewart.

The showing consists of a 2.4 to 7.6 metre wide quartz breccia vein hosted in Middle Jurassic Salmon River Formation (Hazelton Group) argillite/slate. The vein is situated west of a Tertiary(?) augite diorite stock (Coast Plutonic Complex), within the Portland Canal Fissure Zone. The vein is mineralized with abundant pyrite and minor galena.
